Agnetapark

In the Nord-West district of Delft (not far from the center) is the Agnetapark. It's the oldest part of the city (1882-1885) and is one of the first examples of a Dutch garden districts with houses in cottagestyle with a lot of trees and gras.

The designer of these houses is L.P Zocher. The social committed Van Marken, founder of the Yeast and spirit factory Calvé, started the building of the Agnetapark for his factory staff and family. He was the founder of a new and social development in urban planning and leading in Europe.

From 1925 till 1929 an urban extention followd in the style of the Amsterdam school: ´het Nieuwe Park´.
